WHat is Gift of Life
and how can you help
In many countries, treatment are not provided to children with VSDs and this is especially true in low resource areas. This is sometimes due to the clinics near them not having the technologies to perform the necessary surgeries or not having trained surgeons.
The Gift of Life organization is a group that to travels many different countries providing treatment to children with congenital heart defects. They are ensuring that treatment is accessible to these children.
Some countries they travel to are:
“the Philippines, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Guyana, India, Lebanon, Zimbabwe, and Pakistan.”
